Footwear seller NIKE Inc announced the launch of its Air Max 360.
A running shoe more than 25 years in the making, Air Max 360 is the first shoe that allows athletes to run on 360 degrees of Nike Air cushioning
Spoken nearly two centuries ago, the spirit of that quote was alive and well during Nike's two-decade journey to make the Air Max 360 a reality.
From the original Air Max shoe, which introduced the Visible Air-Sole unit, through the heel-expanding blow mold technique of the Air Max '93, to the full-length Air of the Air Max '97, Nike has aimed to truly allow athletes to run on Nike Air cushioning.
With the launch of the first major innovation around Nike Air cushioning in almost a decade, no one is saying the revolution is finished.
In fact, the Air Max 360 shoe, with its foamless midsole, is the beginning of a new story for Nike Air.
“The Air Max 360 is basically the most dramatic and compelling presentation of Nike Air cushioning that they've ever had,” says Sergio Lozano, Creative Director for Men's Sports Footwear.
“He thinks this product is going to revive Nike Air cushioning in the minds of the consumers.”
Think back to that company-transforming original Air Max shoe for what an icon can do.
Then consider that the Air Max 360 shoe offers performance benefits that exceed those of its predecessors in terms of cushioning and weight.
The innovation breakthrough is a new method of creating Air-Sole units called thermoforming.
