NGC launches new version of PLM, SCM & ERP platforms

Version 14 of NGC's web-based PLM, SCM and ERP software is designed to drive improvements in overall productivity, speed to market and financial performance through major enhancements that include:

More accurate costing, including actual vs. estimated. Brands and retailers can accurately calculate the true landed cost of each P.O. compared to initial cost estimates, using the actual vs. estimated costing feature in NGC's SCM.

It captures detailed, accurate information on every shipment with variances by P.O., shipment and season, so that companies can determine the accuracy of their initial cost estimates—key insights that can help improve profitability. Version 14 of NGC's PLM software also includes more detailed cost breakdowns and supports multiple quote types, enabling vendors to submit multiple product options to achieve initial target pricing.

Mobility: Version 14 supports user mobility and runs on any type of tablet or mobile device, with an enhanced, streamlined mobile display. NGC's mobile solutions allows users to instantly view any image from their Digital Asset Library, and easily add new photos and upload them to the PLM system, which is perfect for new ideas, inspiration and concepts. Users can also view style details, evaluate samples in remote locations and collaborate with other parties to resolve open issues.

Materials Requirement Planning: NGC extends the materials forecasting and management capabilities of its PLM software with Materials Requirement Planning to ensure accurate, cost-effective materials planning during the design phase. Once the raw material commitments are in place, NGC's software automatically executes on the plan, optimizing the distribution of raw materials throughout the supply chain.

Business Intelligence Dashboard: NGC's PLM, SCM and ERP solutions now offer a user-configurable BI dashboard that provides graphical and tabular displays that show many key performance indicators.  Easy evaluation of development progress, sales trends, production status, inventory positions and financial targets lead to better decision-making and increased profitability.

Other new features include:

Vendor and Product Compliance: simplifies the management of social, regulatory and product compliance (including CPSIA documentation and supplier certification) and ensures better factory accountability.

EZ-Ship: a factory scan/pack system that integrates with NGC's web-based SCM, ensuring carton compliance and inventory accuracy.

Excel integration: enables off-line data entry that flows into NGC's PLM and SCM applications once a user is back online.
