Stork Prints (Boxmeer, Netherlands), world leader in complete rotary screen wallcover printing lines, highlights its water-based 'wet-in-wet' rotary screen printing lines, additions to its range of Special Screens, and an automatic roll-winder at Heimtextil 2006.
Stork's wet-in-wet rotary screen printing line uses water-based inks, with no drying-stations between the printing positions. This proven concept enables high quality image reproduction, in an eco-friendlier manner, at significantly reduced energy costs.
Stork will also be presenting two additions to its 'Special Screens' range, also. New to the 'LR' family of screens, specially for patterned coatings, is the 125 LR. Capable of printing ink / pastes up to 120 µm , this screen is designed for compact PVC applications and tactile half-tone production. Also new in the 'CH' range, for medium-heavy printing designs, is the 80 CH screen.
This can create ink / paste deposits of up to 150 µm at once, making it ideal for threedimensional embossing effects.
Furthermore, Stork will introduce a high speed, continuous, double-width automatic roll- winder at Heimtextil. The unit runs at a maximum of 150 m/min and is capable of winding all wallcover substrate types, up to 1200 mm wide.
With unrivalled expertise in all stages of the rotary screen printing process, Stork Prints has a proven track record in supplying total solutions to wallcover manufacturers and industrial printers.
The company has one of the largest installed bases of gravimetric ink-dispensing systems in the world. Accurate, fast and splash-free, they allow close matching of ink amounts to the run size, reuse of return inks unused on previous jobs, reduced waste, and reduced formulation times. Also, its programmes of laser engraving systems enable high quality flexo sleeve and screen cylinder production in a single, almost dry process, with minimal use of consumables.
