OH Logistics declares half-a-million-square-foot facility in Winchester

Ozburn-Hessey Logistics announced the addition of another multi-client facility to its over 21 million square foot network. This nearly half-a-million-square-foot facility is located in Winchester, VA with service from the Virginia Inland Port located in Front Royal.
“Our growth is always directed by our clients' needs,” commented Scott McWilliams, CEO of OH Logistics. “Companies' space requirements and geographic needs are constantly changing. We help our clients adapt to those changes by providing flexible distribution centers. We look forward to serving our clients from this new location.”
"We are pleased that Ozburn-Hessey Logistics has chosen to set up shop in Frederick County,” said Russell J. Held, Managing Director of Marketing for the Virginia Port Authority. “Their presence will complement the services offered by the Virginia Inland Port. We look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship."
OH Logistics began the site selection process with its internal partner, ProVenture Commercial Real Estate, in early 2005 and was particularly interested in a location offering rail service. ProVenture worked closely with Steve Preston with First Industrial Realty Trust (NYSE: FR) in Nashville to design the facility. Randy Wolcott and Martin S. Meyer handled the site search and negotiations for OH Logistics.
OH Logistics also recently added new facilities in Romeoville, IL; Plainfield, IN; St. Louis, MO; Chambersburg, PA; and Southern CA. Total expansion for the company year-to-date is almost 2 million square feet. OH Logistics also recently announced the acquisitions of Barthco International, Freightek and Turbo Logistics.
The Virginia Inland Port (VIP) is owned by the Virginia Port Authority (VPA) and operated by the Virginia International Terminals. The facility is located in the Northwest corner of Virginia at Front Royal, VA, Warren County, 220 miles from the Port of Virginia.
