Singular ID selected as one of finalists for Global Entrepolis Award

Singular ID Pte Ltd, the provider of integrated high technology enterprise brand security systems based on micro and nanotechnology, announced that it has been short-listed as one of six finalists for the prestigious Global Entrepolis @ Singapore Award 2006.
The annual award is presented by the The Wall Street Journal Asia, a leading business and financial publication in Asia, in association with the Economic Development Board of Singapore.
This year, a record-breaking 224 entries from applicants in 14 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region were received for the Asian Innovation Awards 2006.
This represents an increase of almost 75 percent over last year's 130 entries. Twelve finalists have been short-listed for the Asian Innovation Awards, whilst six finalists have been short-listed for the Global Entrepolis Singapore (GES) Award.
The GES Award honors Asia's emerging Technopreneurs of the Year. Entries were judged on innovation, technology and the commercial potential of their proposals.
Singular ID has been featured in the 25th October 2006 issue of The Wall Street Journal Asia. In the article, Dr Burden, Chief Executive Officer of Singular ID, explains some of the history in developing the technology that underpins the company.
The piece also highlights the growing issue of counterfeiting and the need to identify items to protect intellectual property.
