Singular ID bags Zdnet Asia's Breakthrough Award

Singular ID Pte Ltd, the provider of integrated high technology enterprise brand security systems, announced that it has won ZDNet Asia's Breakthrough Award for “its innovative technology to solve a real-life business issue: counterfeiting”.
ZDNet Asia is a comprehensive guide for enterprise and small-medium business technology decision-makers provided by CNET Networks Asia Pacific, a subsidiary of CNET Networks Inc, a global interactive content company.
The resource regularly features technology news and insight with regional perspectives, and an Information Technology library with whitepapers, webcasts and toolkits.
Dr Peter Moran, Singular ID's Chief Technology Officer comments, “ZDNet is a respected business and technology guide in the IT market place, with regular features and comment on security, RFID tagging, and database systems for example."
"Although our technology is founded on materials science, our brand security system comprises integrated IT components such as scanners and a database. It is therefore particularly pleasing to be recognised in this field by this award.”
As a result of the award, Singular ID is featured on the ZDNet Asia website. Singular ID is also one of ten winners in the Top Asian TechnoVisionaries for 2006, which was chosen from thirty completed nomination forms.
Nominees were judged on six criteria: technology innovation, market potential, business model, investor/financial record, customer strategy, and creative branding/marketing.
As detailed on the ZDNet Asia webpage, Singular ID was the only winner from Singapore; with others from China, India, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, and Taiwan.
Dr Adrian Burden, Singular ID's Chief Executive Officer is also quoted extensively in a separate ZDNet Asia report titled “Battling entrepreneurship woes”. In this piece, some of the issues facing technology-focused entrepreneurs in Asia are discussed.
