Venus Swimwear new website offers sexy, fun, trendy fashions

Venus, the popular women's fashion and swimwear retailer, announced that it has officially switched its domain name from www.Venusswimwear.com to www.Venus.com. The change was made to increase awareness of both fashion and swimwear collections under one name while also implementing major website enhancements.
Venus, which initially began as a mail order catalogue in 1982, first opened its doors to online purchasing in 1998. Its new website includes easier navigation, a “preview section,” redesigned product pages and stronger calls-to-action.
Two unique sites were tested for a one month period to determine which design would remain as the permanent site. Visitor actions increased impressively with the more graphic intensive site – up to 11 percent more visitor sessions and a 39 percent increase in email subscriptions.
On November 1, 2006, Venus.com was officially launched to the public. Improved on-site search, mix-and-match capability, a fit guide and an extensive glossary will be added in the coming months.
“When we purchased the Venus.com name just one year ago, web traffic increased tremendously, and has been steadily growing ever since,” said Daryle Scott, CEO, Venus. “Prior to creating the current website, we listened to our loyal customers' online needs. As a result, we now offer a more simplified, enjoyable shopping experience.”
