VITUS Smart LC2 - latest technology for apparel retailing

Human Solutions GmbH of Kaiserslautern presented the new VITUS Smart LC2 3D Body Scanner for the first time at the IMB.
The VITUS Smart LC2 was especially developed by Human Solutions for automatic size recommendation in the retail apparel trade and for the documentation of training procedures and progress in sports sciences and in fitness studios. The LC2 completes the 3D scanner family and offers an economical alternative for the fast, non-invasive acquisition of 3D body dimensions.
In comparison to the other models, the LC2 requires less space and costs much less to purchase and maintain. This was made possible through a radical change in design – whereas the person being measured used to stand within the area bordered by at least three columns arranged in a triangle, the VITUS Smart LC2 only requires two columns.
Explaining the new development, Dr. Andreas Seidl, Managing Director of the Human Solutions Company, said, “In spite of their interest in 3D body scanners, the purchase price or leasing rates involved proved to be a stumbling block for many institutes and companies, while other interested parties simply did not have the necessary space to put up a cabin. We looked for a solution that would solve both of these problems at the same time: in other words, a laser scanner which would need less space than the VITUS Smart LC3 and be more economical... and the idea for the VITUS Smart LC2 was born.”
