Fabric printing services provider First2Print Inc announced that the company has installed DuPont Artistri digital printing for textiles.
Neil Breslau, co-founder and CEO of First2Print Inc stated that DuPont Artistri adds new capabilities for their company to meet their customers' ongoing need to produce the newest prints for apparel, home furnishings, interior design, and textile production applications.
The print quality is excellent, and the printing speed gives us the ability to help their clients turn their designs and patterns into finished goods quickly and cost effectively.
Danielle Locastro, director of operations for First2Print added that for short-run production, First2Print plans to produce 50-500 yards of a specific design which is "washable, wearable, and ready for retail.
During typical made-to-order services, First2Print works with its customers throughout the entire design process to engineer a final product assembled with textile. Final products might span the gamut of draperies, a restaurant booth, or apparel garments.
Breslau added that the addition of the Artistri system lets us become a delivery on demand service. They will be able to help their clients transform their designs almost instantly - unlike traditional mills which have a minimum yardage and long turnaround times.
Kathleen Hall, global business director, DuPont Digital Printing Systems stated that the development of Artistri represents the application of their vast understanding of color and digital ink development to the digital printing of textiles.
