Dixie Reinhardt receives ‘Best of Market’ award for Private Collection

Winners of the New York Home Textiles Market Week Best New Product Awards were announced, with Dixie Reinhardt Fine Linens receiving the "Best of Market" award for its Private Collection hand-embroidered pillows made of Italian linen. Home Textiles Market Week runs through Thursday at the New York International Gift Fair (NYIGF) at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers, 230 Fifth Avenue and 7 West 34th Street.

Awards also were presented in four product-specific categories (Bed, Bath, Dining and Home Accessories) to winners and finalists selected by a prestigious panel of trade and consumer editors. Criteria included innovation in design, creative use of materials/construction and new fiber, material or technology.

The winners and finalists, selected from more than 120 entries overall, are:

BEST OF MARKET:
Dixie Reinhardt Fine Linens (New York, NY) for its Private Collection hand-embroidered pillows made of Italian linen.

BED CATEGORY:
Winner: V Rugs & Home (Miami, FL) for its Monet Duvet Cover, made of 100% linen with handmade flowers and mother of pearl.
Finalist: Rajboori Luxury Home Textiles (Vancouver, BC, Canada) for its Holi Quilt
Finalist: Schlossberg of Switzerland (Clinton, NJ) for its Schlossberg Papillon Print Duvet

BATH CATEGORY:
Winner: Schlossberg of Switzerland (Clinton, NJ) for its Sensitive Towel, made of cradle-to-cradle certified hand-plucked Egyptian long staple cotton and vegetable dyes.
Finalist: Espalma by Cobra (New York, NY) for its Art Deco Bath Ensemble
Finalist: John Matouk & Co. (New York, NY) for its Orlo Towel Collection

DINING CATEGORY:
Winner: VDS/Alexandra Turpault (Woodland Hills, CA) for its Hannah Tablecloth, made of 100% linen with unique color and embroidery.
Finalist: Libeco Home (New York, NY) for its Fjord Tablecloth
Finalist: Shades of India (Noida, UP, India) for its Cambria Orchid Napkin Tie

HOME ACCESSORIES CATEGORY:
Winner: The Concept Collection (Punta Gorda, FL) for its Traces of Yellow collection of pillows and throws, made of 100% wool.
Finalist: Anupama (Montreal, QC, Canada) for its CC 50 on cotton
Finalist: Malaika by Luxe Brands International (Oakville, ON, Canada) for its Smocked Toss Pillow from the Luxor Silk Collection

"Creativity and innovation are more important than ever in today's challenging business environment, so we're thrilled to see so many exciting new introductions at this Market" said Penny Sikalis, Vice President, GLM, LLC. "Our esteemed panel of judges recognized and rewarded the most outstanding introductions in each of the competition categories."
