Scoop has registered a whole new set of British and international fashion designers to showcase their AW19 collections. It is a contemporary womenswear event, which will be held at the iconic Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, London, from February 10-12, 2019. Scoop is recognised by fashion designers and industry experts as the UK’s leading fashion trade show.

With a backdrop provided by the opulent Kilburn archive pattern from the V&A, this season’s new faces include womenswear from PS Paul Smith, Ailanto, bags from LarAllan and Aimee Ward, jewellery by Douglas Poon and Sidonie Prudence, ornate embroidered shoes from Fields of Gold, and D.A.T.E Italian sneakers, according to a press release on the show.

Designed in London, PS Paul Smith is the new, youthful women's collection defined by signatures of bold colour, print and sharp tailoring. Ailanto is a women’s ready-to-wear fashion design company created by the twin brothers Iñaki and Aitor Muñoz, based in Barcelona since 1995. The universe of Ailanto is famous for its combinations of colours, geometric shapes and references to avant-garde artistic movements. The signature prints, the figurative embroidery, the delicate fabrics, and the elegant juxtapositions of the texture are frequently used to enrich the collections.

LarAllan is a British luxury brand created by London based designer Lara Olutunbi. LarAllan debuted in 2018 with a collection of beautifully crafted clutch handbags offering a piece of statement, style and elegance. The clutches are designed in the UK and manufactured within Europe to highest standards of European artisanry.

Aimee Ward’s debut collection of bags, handmade in England, have been inspired by the beauty of Mother Nature, contrasted with strong clean lines from fabrications including metal and leather.

Hong Kong born British designer, Douglas Poon launched his debut collection of jewellery in 2014. Since then Douglas’s work can be found at the V&A Museum, Fenwick, Paul Smith, the Carnegie Museum of Art, Vakko, Beymen, Ginza and over 100 established boutiques and galleries worldwide. His unique design captures the ornate vintage crystal look in hand carved and polished resin.

For Sidonie Prudence, imagining and designing a jewel is synonymous with introspection. It takes more than 30 hours to embroider one pair of fields of gold shoes. The patterns are inspired by the elements of nature and architecture: bird’s wings, gold grain, ancient mosaics, carved arabesque walls and colourful flowers. Using only natural materials: silk, cotton and leather, each shoe is a unique creation and a combination of different cultures.

The concept of ‘freestyle’ has inspired the new AW19 collection from Florence-based premium sneakers brand D.A.T.E, which includes the FUGA, a voluminous contemporary streetwear-design running sneaker featuring white Italian leather enriched by black suede insert on the sides and back, taupe suede details on the sides, and zebra printed suede. All materials and leathers are made in Italy. (GK)
