“At Magic New York, we saw a 38 per cent increase year over year in our attendance. This is a true reflection of how live events are back and key to our industry’s success. Magic’s brands were filled with bold colours, vibrant patterns, and trending textures,” said president of Informa Markets Fashion Kelly Helfman.
Styles and trends seen at Magic New York were matching sets; techno colours; prints and florals; 90s nostalgia and platform shoes; pink and lime green combinations; urban cowboy — including cowboy boots; feathers; Cinderella slippers and novelty heels; rubber sandals; handmade crocheted bags; tiny, strapped tops; digital lavender; Barbie core bright pink; maxi dresses and jumpsuits; and outfits with ribbed construction. Some yesteryear styles also made a comeback with flair — oversized shoulders and puffy sleeves, antique jewellery and vintage inspired pieces, cocktail rings, and pearls.
The event was held at Javits Center, New York City from September 18-20, 2022.
