Avery Dennison to acquire 10 Scodix enhancement presses

Avery Dennison RBIS, a provider of branding, packaging, labeling and RFID solutions will acquire ten Scodix Ultra Pro Digital Enhancement presses to be installed at its facilities globally.
This represents the most substantial deal in the history of Scodix, which offers digital enhancement solutions for the graphic arts industry.
“The Scodix presses will be used primarily to enhance customer tags and brand labels that not only inspire greater sensory appeal and customer response, but brand awareness and loyalty,” Scodix said.
Avery Dennison RBIS has earlier installed two Scodix Ultra Pro systems in their production facilities, which has been well accepted by its production personnel.
Scodix has innovated technologies in digital enhancement of printed products, which replaces the cumbersome, time-consuming and expensive elements of traditional analog practices.
Scodix has made finishing techniques such as embossing, foiling, silk screening more feasible to service providers and currently offers nine different enhancement applications.
Jason Rollo, director of global strategic accounts at Scodix said, “The expanded adoption of Scodix in Avery Dennison RBIS is further evidence of the acceptance of digital printed enhancement category, we pioneered and nurtured to prominence.” (AR)
