Shima Seiki to hold private exhibition in Sri Lanka

Shima Seiki, a Japanese producer of computerised knitting machines is holding a private exhibition in Sri Lanka together with its Sri Lankan representative Tajima Colombo from August 22-24, 2016.
The exhibition will display its latest Wholegarment knitting machine, the MACH2XS, which features the company's original SlideNeedle mounted on four needle beds.
According to Shima Seiki, MACH2XS is the world's first four-bed machine equipped with Shima Seiki's original spring-loaded moveable sinker system.
Another machine, the SWG061N2 compact Wholegarment knitting machine also features the SlideNeedle and offers great flexibility in producing a variety of accessory items like gloves, socks, etc.
The company will also showcase the latest SFG-I machine in 18G for ultrafine gauge glove production as well as dipping applications.
Demonstrations will also be performed on the SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system that is at the core of the company's 'Total Knitting System' concept.
“APEX3 integrates knit production into one smooth and efficient workflow from yarn development, product planning and design to machine programming, production and even sales promotion,” Shima Seiki said.
“Especially effective is APEX3's capability to improve on the planning process with virtual sampling, while photo-realistic simulation capability minimises the need for sample-making,” it added. (AR)
