Shima Seiki to partake in Maquitex 2017 show

Shima Seiki Mfg., Ltd., a leading Japanese computerised flat knitting machine manufacturer, has announced that the company is set to exhibit at the Maquitex 2017 show, the 17th exhibition of machines, technology, and accessories for the textile and clothing industry, to be held in Matosinhos, Portugal, from October 19 to 21, 2017, in hall 4, stand 444.

The show will display a comprehensive line-up representing the latest Shima Seiki computerised flat knitting technology. The flagship MACH2XS series Wholegarment knitting machine features Shima Seiki’s original SlideNeedle on four needlebeds as well as the patented spring-type sinker system. The SWG-N2 series compact Wholegarment knitting machine is a versatile line-up capable of producing a variety of small items and accessories. The SRY and SVR-SP machines feature loop pressers capable of producing unique knit-weave hybrid fabrics. The SSR machine features Shima Seiki benchmark technology in a compact, economical package.

Also on display will be the SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system. Key to Shima Seiki’s “Total Fashion System” concept, APEX3 integrates all stages of apparel production into one smooth and efficient workflow through comprehensive support from planning and design to production and sales promotion. With ultra-realistic product simulations, APEX3 is also capable of virtual sampling that minimises the costly time- and resource-consuming sample-making process. (GK)
