The 48th edition of the Filo yarns and fibres exhibition will focus on sustainability. The exhibition is scheduled to kick-off from September 27 in Milan. This year, there is an increase in the number of registrations with over 90 Italian and foreign exhibitors expected at the international trade event that will showcase top range of yarn collections.

At the two-day exhibition, conference titled— The thread of sustainable pipelines— will highlight how sustainability represents a competitive advantage for the companies working within high end products' industry, considering the increasingly high requests of consumers for having transparent and traceable products.

The trade event is hosted by Filo in cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency and Sistema Moda Italia.

"Being sustainable is the feature that today distinguishes products of excellence from all the others. It is so because we are talking here about sustainability incorporating materials’ high quality, innovative production processes, attention and care for products manufacturing entrusted to skilled workers whose rights are totally respected. In addition, Filo is a business-to-business exhibition, set at the beginning of the long path that from fibres reaches garments: it is indeed in the ideal position to promote and support the sustainability of the supply chain, the only one that really protects consumers," said Paolo Monfermoso, manager of Filo.
