Ahlstrom-Munksjö joins UN Global Compact

Ahlstrom-Munksjö has joined the UN Global Compact, becoming one of the 10,000 companies to affirm its commitment towards human and labour rights, environmental quality and anti-corruption practices. UN Global Compact is a voluntary initiative based on CEO’s commitments to implement universal sustainability principles and to take steps to support UN goals.

Jan Åström, the president and chief executive officer of the Ahlstrom-Munksjö, has signed the UN Global Compact's ten principles for ethical business practices, the company press release said.

“At Ahlstrom-Munksjö, we are dedicated to sustainability and responsibility from the highest levels of leadership to the most local concern in our supply chains or at our production sites,” said Åström. “By joining the UN Global Compact, we continue to affirm our commitment to ethical and responsible business practices in every area of our work.”

Ahlstrom-Munksjö is one of the global leaders in fibre-based materials which supplies innovative and sustainable solutions to customers worldwide. (VM)
