Around 150 exhibitors will be exhibiting at the forthcoming Texworld Paris event, a trade fair exclusively for professionals from the fashion industry which takes place at Paris Le Bourget from February 15-18, 2016.

“With a year-on-year increase in registrations, the trade fair, centred on fabrics, sundries and accessories, will occupy two halls, which is a first for the February edition, a press release from Messe Frankfurt said.

On show will be linen and hemps, shirting, drapery, woolens, denims, casual knits, silks, jacquards, knit embroidery lace, fake fur, functional fabrics, fibres and trims and accessories.

According to Messe Frankfurt, Texworld Paris continues to stake its claim as the most valuable and efficient gateway to the European market for a large number of international manufacturers.

“Which is what makes it highly attractive to both exhibitors and visitors, who come to experience new, previously unseen solutions,” it added.

“We have divided the show into distinct sections for the benefit of visitors and exhibitors alike and thereby generated a powerful synergy,” Michael Scherpe, CEO of Messe Frankfurt France said.

China still remains at the heart of the Texworld Paris offering and will be enriched for the first time by the presence of skills in knits, sundries, accessories and casualwear.

The importance of solutions from Southern Asia, which will be a traditional high point of the trade fair is well appreciated, while an increase in embroidery, lace-making, drapery and cotton fabrics will be in evidence.

A group of Turkish companies specialising in sundries and accessories, thick with varieties of collections and aesthetic research will also been seen.

South Korea, the third most heavily represented country at Texworld, after China and Turkey, will be seen with a very extensive and creative range and highly sought-after textiles.

Pakistan is intensifying its presence with a group of six exhibitors under the auspices of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan and fifteen individual exhibitors.

Taiwan is offering a very extensive range, deserving of attention for its new aesthetic and technical ideas, while those from Hong Kong, will be showing products in cotton, linen, denim, lace and embroidery.

Spring and summer of 2017 will be heavily represented at Texworld, as demonstrated by a strong presence of natural fibres, such as linen, which is making a notable breakthrough. (AR)
