Asian PTA prices inch down last week

Last week, in Asian markets, buying trends for Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) followed bearish trend and prices declined due to insipid market sentiments and fall in upstream product prices in the region.
During the last week ending August 30, F E Asian selling offers for PTA decreased by 2.31%, when compared to its previous week ending August 23.
Last week, selling offers for PTA in F E Asian market went down by US$ 20-25/ton when compared to its previous week and were quoted in the range of US$ 975/ton to US$ 995/ton.
In S E Asian market, selling offers for PTA went down by 2.26% and were assessed in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1020/ton last week as compared to US$ 1025-1040/ton in its previous week.
In India, prices went down by 2.71% last week and were quoted in the range of US$ 1010-1035/ton vis-à-vis US$ 1050-1055/ton in its previous week.
In China, prices showed similar trend and were assessed in the range of US$ 980-995/ton last week as compared to US$ 985-1015/ton in its previous week.
