Hike in upstream price helps Asian PTA rise this week

Hike in upstream product prices coupled with increase in prices of other polyester feedstock in the region led to Asian PTA prices rising in this week ending Jan 23.
In F E Asia, prices which were assessed at US$ 570/ton on Monday (Jan 19), went up by 1.75 per cent during the week and were seen at US$ 580/ton on Jan 23.
In S E Asia, prices which were spotted at US$ 590/ton on Monday, grew by 2.54 per cent during the week and were witnessed at US$ 605/ton on Jan 23.
In India, prices which were at US$ 595/ton on Jan 19 increased by 2.52 per cent during the week and were offered at US$ 610/ton on Jan 23.
