Asian ethylene prices up due to limited availability

Ethylene prices marched higher in Asia in the last week due to constrained product availability in the region.
 
In Korea, average prices improved by US$ 40/ton and quoted at US$ 975/ton in the last week, as compared to previous week, a hike of 4.28 per cent.
 
In Japan, average prices soared by US$ 40/ton and assessed at US$ 970/ton in the last week, a rise of 4.30 per cent compared to previous week.
 
In SE Asia, average prices moved up by US$ 85/ton and quoted at US$ 980/ton in the last week, a jump of 9.50 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week.
 
In NE Asia, average prices stepped up by US$ 65/ton and assessed at US$ 1055/ton in the last week, registering a climb of 6.57 per cent from the previous week.
