Additionally, the eco-material hub, which now has a new corporate identity, will bring its exclusive eco-smart innovations to specialised fairs through its partners' 2017/2018 fall-winter collections. It has partnered with Ecotec by Marchi & Fildi, Cupro and Roica by Asahi Kasei and Re.Verso (Filpucci and Filatura C4) for yarns and Smart Materials for Okinawa for materials.
The fabrics partners of the hub include Re.Verso (A.Stelloni Collection by Mapel), Bacx by Centro Seta, Botanicaldye by Shinnaigai Textile, Lanificio Zignone, Euromaglia, Organic Cotton Colours, Borgini Jersey and Gruppocinque, while it has partnered with Miroglio Textile for printing processes.
Brands like Eileen Fisher, Filippa K, Patagonia, Stella McCartney, Wolford, Diesel, Deha, MM6 Maison Margiela and Marimekko are some of the brands that utilised the hub's partners' products as smart elements for their collections.
C.L.A.S.S is also organising educational workshops centred in Milan to help professionals learn about a new generation of eco-smart material technologies and innovations that can provide improvements to the supply chain. The interactive workshops provide a forum for like-minded professionals to exchange ideas and discuss their role within future fashion systems. (KD)
