Cho Hyun-joon named chairman of fibre producer Hyosung

South Korean speciality fibre producer Hyosung has named Cho Hyun-joon, currently president of the group as the new chairman. Hyun-joon represents the third-generation of the family owned group and is the eldest son of chairman Cho Suck-rae. Hyun-joon’s younger brother Cho Hyun-sang, who is designated executive vice president, will succeed him as president.
According to Korean media reports, Cho Hyun-joon has been credited for his efforts, as the group under his stewardship, reported record financial results in the past two years.
At the same time, Cho Hyun-sang has also been able to help Hyosung gain a larger market share in the worldwide polyester tire cord market. Hyosung also undertook reshuffle for 34 other employees. (AR)
