Datacolor launches Match Pigment 4.0 colour software
Jan '18
Datacolor, a leader in colour management solutions that provides software, instruments, and services to assure accurate colour of materials, products, and images headquartered in US, has launched Match Pigment 4.0 colour formulation software, the latest iteration of its colour formulation software for paint, coatings, and plastics manufacturers.

Employing Datacolor’s innovative SmartMatch technology, Match Pigment 4.0 helps manufacturers most efficiently and confidently achieve their desired colour while saving time and money.

Match Pigment 4.0 improves match acceptance on the first try, optimises the cost and quality of recipes, and reduces the need for physical matches. With a streamlined workflow and user-friendly interface, manufacturers can expect up to 50 per cent increase in overall speed and productivity.

Cheryl Johnson, director of product management, Datacolor said, “We have spent over 40 years perfecting our proven colour technologies to help our customers maximise their product quality. We know inaccurate colour can cost businesses hundreds of thousands of dollars, not to mention delay to market. With Match Pigment, manufacturers can now have confidence in their colour quality, knowing they have obtained it quickly and cost-effectively.”

The Match Pigment software is used by many of the world’s leading manufacturers of paint, coatings and powder coatings, where their products are held to the highest of industry standards. It is critical for their formulation software to deliver fast and accurate colour matching while minimising batch corrections and overall costs.

With Match Pigment 4.0, customers can realise many additional benefits, such as shorten formulation time with up to 50 per cent increase in matching speed, increase productivity with automatic transfer of multiple formulas to the dispenser queue, support greater custom/individual needs with flexible matching criteria options, improve product quality by assuring colorant compatibility for customer use cases, and streamline daily operations with enhanced user interface.
