DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2017 booking space up 13%

Seven months before the doors open, organisers of the 19th edition of DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR has seen booking space increase by 13 per cent, when compared with the previous year. DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR, which runs from March 21-23, 2017, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, is a trade show for various segments of the flooring industry.

The exhibition space covers twelve halls, with five halls dedicated to carpets, rugs and runners, and four to parquet and laminate flooring, as well as to cork, bamboo and other hard floor products. The other three halls will see resilient floor coverings for domestic, commercial and industrial applications.

International companies have booked around 32 per cent of the total space booked by the likes of Armstrong, Gerflor, KCC, KDF, LG Hausys, Nox, US Floors and Windmoeller. They will be joined by Balta, Boyteks, Jaipur, Nishaburi, Oriental Weavers and Suminoe from the carpet industry, while country pavilions will be set up by Belgium, India, Pakistan and the US.

The 2016 edition attracted 1,303 exhibitors from 40 countries, as well as 50,398 trade visitors, including 11,963 foreign visitors from 106 countries. (AR)
