Ethylene prices down in Europe but surge in US last week

Ethylene prices went down in Europe in the last week ended Oct 30 due to weak upstream energy prices in the region.
However, due to favourable market fundamentals, average prices surged in the US.
In Europe, average prices decreased by US$ 15/ton or 1.81 per cent and were quoted at US$ 815/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.
In US, average prices expanded by 5 cents/pound and were spotted at 25 cents/pound in the last week, up 25 per cent as against its prior week.
However, due to favourable market fundamentals, average prices surged in the US.
