Ethylene prices fall in Europe & surge in US last week

Ethylene prices fell in Europe in the last week ended Dec 25 due to poor downstream product demand. But due to due to strong market sentiments, average prices surged in US.
In Europe, average prices contracted by US$ 35/ton or 3.76 per cent and were quoted at US$ 895/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.
In US, average prices soared by 5 cents/pound and were assessed at 20 cents/pound in the last week, up a steep 33.33 per cent as against its prior week.
