Ethylene up in Europe but plunges in US last week

Ethylene prices went up in Europe in the last week ended Jan 18 due to strong market sentiments. However, due to sluggish buying trends, average prices plunged in the US.
In Europe, average prices grew by US$ 5/ton or 0.58 per cent and were quoted at US$ 870/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.
In US, average prices slipped by 5 cents/pound and were quoted at 15 cents/pound in the last week, down a steep 25.00 per cent as against its prior week.
