Nov '16
Operations have resumed at Aditya Birla Nuvo’s linen yarn business unit situated at Jaya Shree Textile Division in Rishra in Hooghly, West Bengal, as the illegal strike started by workmen on November 19 has come to an end on November 23. The estimated contribution loss on account of the strike is not material and it is close to Rs 55 lakh.

All the plants of the Jaya Shree Textile Division are now working normally, said the company in a BSE listing. This unit of the firm is engaged in the manufacturing of linen yarn, linen fabrics, wool tops and worsted yarn.

Aditya Birla Nuvo is a premium conglomerate and part of the Aditya Birla Group, a $41 billion Indian multinational operating in 36 countries across six continents. (KD)
