Karnataka clears Toyota project for textile machinery unit

Karnataka’s State High-Level Clearance Committee has given the go-ahead to Toyota Industries India Pvt. Ltd to set up a textile machinery manufacturing unit at Vasanthanarsapura Industrial Area of Tumakuru district, according to media reports.
Toyota Industries India Pvt. Ltd is investing Rs 410 crore in the textile machinery manufacturing unit. The proposed unit, which was cleared by the SHLCC chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has the potential to create jobs for 800 people. (SH)
