Laguna Blue launches microfibre swim beach-sized towels

According to the National Institutes of Health, the antibiotic-resistant MRSA bacteria kill more people than HIV. A laboratory test conducted by Dr. Murray Cohen, science advisor, compared cotton to microfibre towels as a bacteria transfer mechanism. The test showed that MRSA sticks to clean cotton towels 75 per cent more often in comparison to only 0.25 per cent of the time with microfibre.

Laguna Blue's inspiration came about when one of the co-owners, Kenny Perry, contracted a MRSA infection from a gym towel that became so serious doctors recommended his leg be amputated.
