MagnaColours, manufacturer of printing inks and ink bases, discharge chemicals, pigments and auxiliary chemicals for textile printing applications has appointed Helen Parry as managing director (MD). Parry, who was the MD at Sawgrass Europe, a subsidiary of Sawgrass Technologies for 3 years, will be leading and supporting the existing management structure.

The existing managing director Tom Abbey will be taking over as the executive chairman of the firm. Parry has experience of over 15 years. She has also bagged ‘Queen’s Award for Innovation’ while working with Vivimed for eight years.

“It’s rare to come across an opportunity that fits your experience and personality. I’m very excited to join the Magna team as it continues to grow. I look forward to help them realise ambitions to increase the presence of their innovative inks, worldwide. This is an important time for the business and the textile printing industry as a whole. I’ll look forward to working alongside Abbey and the team to ensure MagnaColours continues to lead the way,” Parry said.

“Parry is joining MagnaColours as we continue to grow our reach and reputation for quality and innovation. Her experience in the industry and management means that she is perfectly positioned to help drive our growth plans. I will still be very much involved in the day to day running of the business and its processes in my new role, and we are delighted that she is joining the team,” said Abbey. (RR)
