New 'Furnishing on Wheels' initiative by Vijay Textiles

Hyderabad-based home furnishing fabric manufacturer Vijay Textiles has launched a ‘Furnishing on Wheels’ initiative to address customised home fabric requirements of individuals by delivering products at their doorsteps through a vehicle with a sales representative, a tailor and a technician. The company claims it to be a first of its kind in the country.
The customised vehicle will have design catalogue along with samples of home furnishing fabrics ready to be stitched for delivery.
The concept is being test marketed in Hyderabad and regions around the city, according to a report in a top Indian daily. Four customized vehicles at present will attend to 300-400 households daily. (DS)
