Government has decided to adjourn the textile sector relief package until the last week of this month only after the conclusion of International trade fair Heimtextil.
Heimtextil is scheduled from January 9 and will close on 14 in Frankfurt, Germany.
The relief package will be decided at the meeting presided over by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. The ministers are likely to discuss the various ways to assist textile industry.
Federal Minister for Textile Mushtaq Cheema who will represent domestic industry at Germany, recently said that the attempts to minimize export and cost duties have not been too successful due to strong opposition from certain labor lobbies.
