Ethylene prices on correction course

Ethylene prices for CFR Northeast Asia, which were in the past few weeks galloping at a very fast pace, made a correction and turned around to fall, when compared to last Wednesday's prices.
CFR Northeast Asia fell back from $1080-1082 per metric ton to $1040-1042 per metric ton on July 22 and that of CFR Southeast also dipped from $1045-1047 per metric ton to $1010-1012 per metric ton.
Ethylene prices in the FD Northwest European markets, which had grown on last Wednesday, continued its march, in growing phenomenally from €650-655 per metric ton to €725-730 per metric ton, while ethylene prices for CIF Northwest Europe also shifted from $855-865 per metric ton to $890-900 per metric ton.
On the other hand, prices of ethylene in the US market which have been falling since the last four consecutive weeks, reversed their trend and grew from US cent 19.880-20.130 per pound to US cent 20.505-20.755 per pound.
