Propylene prices in US markets on fire

Propylene prices in the Far East region, which have continued to move in the northwards direction, kept up the momentum on August 12, though the movement was very nominal, when compared with prices quoted on previous Wednesday.
FOB South Korea marched up from US $1100-1102 per ton per ton to $1103-1104 per ton per ton.
Prices of Propylene (polymerization level), FD Northwest Europe and CIF Northwest, too gained €20 per metric ton each on August 12, when compared with prices prevailing on August 5.
FD Northwest Europe moved €750-760 per metric ton to €770-780 per metric ton while CIF Northwest prices shifted from €740-750 per metric ton to €760-770 per metric ton on August 12.
Propylene prices in the US markets, however continued to flare up and shot up from US cent 39.875-40.125 per lb recorded on August 5 to US cent 46.875-47.125 per lb on August 12.
