Worldwide ethylene markets display mixed trends

Ethylene prices across worldwide markets displayed mixed reactions on October 28, when compared with prices prevailing on October 21. While those in, CFR Northeast Asia dipped, those in CFR Southeast Asia rose.
In the European markets too, prices of FD Northwest Europe fell, those of CIF Northwest Europe moved up and in the US markets ethylene prices too declined.
Prices for CFR Northeast Asia fell back from US $880-890 per metric ton recorded on October 21 to $871-881 per metric ton on October 28. However, CFR Southeast prices moved up from $940-950 per metric ton to $986-991 per metric ton.
Ethylene prices of FD Northwest Europe also descended on Wednesday from €745-755 per metric ton to €735.00-740.00 per metric ton, while ethylene prices of CIF Northwest surged from US $900-905 per metric ton to $920.00-930.00 per metric ton.
Ethylene prices in the US declined from US cent 32.000-32.250 per pound on October 21 to US cent 31.875-32.125 per pound, yesterday
