China's textile imports increase over 22pc

China's imports of textile synthetic fibre increased by 22.86 percent to US$ 362.68 million during January-April 2011 over the corresponding period last year. The country's overall textile and apparel imports also grew by 22.55 percent during the same period.
China's textile imports during April were worth US$ 99.98 million, averaging US$ 3300 per ton. This average price was US$ 200 higher than the average price of US$ 3100 per ton during January-April 2011.
