Nano-Tex, a leading fabric innovation company providing nanotechnology-based textile enhancements, announced a major breakthrough in water repellency; Aquapel. Aquapel is a highly effective and economical approach to water repellency that is completely fluorocarbon free.

Aquapel replaces the traditional fluorocarbon polymer with a hydrocarbon polymer which is both more ecologically friendly and economically smart.

It offers the same performance – liquid repellency that's breathable, durable, and fast drying – at less cost, while remaining both fluorocarbon free and PFOA free.

Nano-Tex is a leading fabric innovation company providing nanotechnologybased textile enhancements to the apparel, home and commercial/residential interiors markets. Nano-Tex is headquartered in Oakland, Calif. With operations across the United States, Asia and Europe. To date, more than 80 textile mills worldwide are utilizing Nano-Tex treatments in products sold by more than 100 leading brands.
