Export Development Fund sanctions multiple projects

At the 58th meeting of the Pakistan's Export Development Fund (EDF), several projects to boost exports have been sanctioned. The total value of the projects, that includes projects relating to the textiles and garment sector, adds up to PKR 400 million.
Some of the projects approved are the establishment of a display centre and opening of an office of Pakistan Bedwear Exporters Association in EU at the cost of PKR 68.880 million, budget of Lahore-based Pakistan Institute of Fashion & Design amounting to PKR 45.513 million, PKR 30 million for upgradation of Karachi-based Synthetic Fibre Development & Application Centre, and PKR 10 million each for the establishment of Entrepreneurship Development Institute for Women at Lahore and Pak-Korea Garment Technology Training Institute at Karachi.
