Training program on Fiber Technology Spinning & Textile Industry

Ministry of Trade & Industry and Cotton Arbitration and Testing General Organization (CATGO) announced that International Cotton Training Center (ICTC) will conduct a training program on Fiber Technology Spinning and Textile Industry. It will be held during the period from 3 July till 28 July 2011.
Lectures :
- Cotton handling stages starting from picking till baling. - Global Production & Consumption of Cotton and its relation to synthetic fiber. - Cotton harvesting methods ( Manual – Mechanical ) and its effect on the quality. - Structure of cotton fiber. - Ginning industry ( Roller – Saw ) and the effect of each on yarn & end-product quality . - Standard procedures for sampling & preparing samples for testing. - International standards for testing and issuing a recognized certificate. - H.V.I & How to obtain accurate test results:
a- Instrument calibration & standard samples.
b- How to read H.V.I certificate & analyze its results and how to maximize the benefits from the result.
c- The required statistics for test results [C.V – Sd and " Mean "].
- The effects of physical cotton fiber properties on processing stages and yarn quality. - Maximizing the quality and reducing costs in spinning & textile industry. - Contamination in cotton and its effect on the processing stages – How to obtain cotton free of contamination. - The effect of moisture on cotton fiber properties, methods of testing, drawing samples and moisture testing certificate. - The required data to compare between two results. - Reasons of differences between tests results. - Commercial Standardization of Instrumental Testing of Cotton (CSITC). - Guide lines for comparing between different instrumental results. - Comparing between sample result with "Standard Reference Sample", ( Uster Statistics – ITMF – Round Test for CSITC – Bremen Sample ). - Upland cotton classification. - The effect of international cotton prices on the produced yarn prices. - Conventional & Modern Spinning Systems – the most updates developments in spinning & textile industry. - Quality control & quality control chart and how to use it in avoiding some processing problems. - Technical terms & accurate concepts related to spinning and textile technology. - The effect of moisture on cotton fiber properties, processing and its effect on the quality of end-product. - Adjusting moisture contents in spinning and textile mills. - Testing textile properties in standard atmosphere. - The modern measuring methods of moisture regain in textiles. - Recent trends in preparing cotton blends. - The main challenges facing spinning & textile industry and how to overcome it.
