Chinese exports of textiles & clothing to Japan up in May

China's exports of textile and apparel to Japan maintained growth in May, but growth rate fell from April.
Exports registered US $ 1.78 billion in May, an increase of 18.2 percent year on year. However, May exports declined by 26.2 percent from April.
Of which, textile exports rose 35.3 percent year on year and clothing exports ascended 14.1 percent.
From January to May this year, exports from the sector to Japan realized US $10.02 billion, an increase of 23.4 percent year on year.
Of which, textile exports stood at US $1.9 billion, up 32.2 percent year on year and apparel exports $ 8.12 billion, a growth of 21.5 percent.
Export prices of major textile commodities sharply increased, of which price of yarn rose 47.3 percent and prices of knitted and woven garments rose 18.6 percent.
