US imports of Chinese textile & clothing rise in May

US imports of Chinese textile and apparel reached US $3.1 billion in May; an increase of 11.2 percent year on year, but the growth rate fell 17.4 percent from April.
Of which, textile imports marked US $860 million and clothing imports scored US $2.24 billion, up 6.3 percent and 13.1 percent, respectively, year on year.
From January to May this year, US textile and clothing imports from China recorded US $12.58 billion, up 15.4 percent year on year.
Of which, textile imports stood at US $ 3.58 billion, a rise of 13.7 percent year on year and garment imports touched US $ 8.99 billion, a growth of 16.1.
