PX continues to spurt, ethylene & PSF stable

Paraxylene price spurted up in Asian market to around US$ 1600/ton. In S E Asian region, price was quoted in between US$ 1590/ton to US$ 1600/ton. In the F E Asian market, price hovered in the range of US$ 1525/ton to US$ 1535/ton. In Chinese market, price went down to US$ 1530/ton. In last 7 days price increased by 200 US$ but now its expected short term correction.

In S E Asia, PTA price remained firm around US$ 1175/ton. In Chinese market, PTA trading price hovered around RMB 9200/ton but offer price hovered in between RMB 9150/ton to RMB 9250/ton. In Asian market, PTA price remained range bound in between US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1180/ton.

Ethylene price remained stable at US$ 1165/ton in S E Asian market. In F E Asian market, price was in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1165/ton. In European international and domestic market, price hovered around US$ 1200/ton and € 835/ton, respectively. In U.S.A market, selling offer for ethylene was in the range of 55.50 cents/pound to 57.50 cents/pound for July delivery.

MEG price increased slowly, in S E Asian region. Price hovered mainly in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In Indian markets, price of MEG increased to around US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1210/ton and in domestic Chinese market, MEG price was in the range of RMB 9350/ton to RMB 9400/ton.

BGPET Chips price remained stable in S E Asian region and was assessed between US$ 1570/ton to US$ 1580/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1575/ton for exportable goods. In Chinese market BG PET Chip was at RMB 11750/ton.

FGPET Chips prices in Korean markets remained stable around US$ 1540/ton to US$ 1550/ton and in Indian market; it was assessed in the range of US$ 1560/ton to US$ 1580/ton. In Chinese market FG PET Chip was at RMB 11750/ton to RMB 11850/ton.

PSF price remained stable, in N E Asian market; offers hovered around US$ 1830/ton to US$ 1850/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF offers were around US$ 1835/ton. In Chinese domestic market PSF offers were at RMB 12650/ton.

Polyester yarn prices in Chinese domestic market remained stable. Offers for FDY and POY were at RMB 14000/ton and RMB 14200/ton, respectively. Selling offers for DTY were stable around RMB 15950/ton. In export market offers for POY, FDY and DTY were respectively at US$ 1915/ton, 1855/ton and US$ 2135/ton.
