Chinese yarn-dyed fabric imports down between Jan-May

China's total global imports of cotton yarn-dyed fabric reached US $220.68 million from January to May 2011, down by 5.4 percent from the same time of previous year.
In the same period, the average price of cotton yarn-dyed fabric imports stood at $2.35 / metre.
The growth rate was 25.3 percentage points less than the growth rate of 19.9 percent posted by overall imports of textile and clothing in the same period.
May imports amounted to $49.36 million, unit price stood at $2.46 / metre, $ 0.11 / metre higher compared with the average price level of the first five months of 2011.
