Japan's Mitsui Chemicals will restart the naphtha cracker shut down for maintenance at its Ichihara plant in Chiba Prefecture on July 29.
According to the Manager (Corporate Communications) at Mitsui, who spoke to fibre2fashion, the plant was shut down for a turnaround on July 1 and was planned to be restarted on July 27.
However, the restart of the plant which has a capacity of 553,000 tons of ethylene per annum has been delayed by two days and will now be restarted on July 29, the official added.
