Ube Industries declares CPL offer price for August

Japan-based Ube Industries has declared its selling offer price for caprolactam (CPL) for August. The company has quoted a price of US$ 3,450 per ton for major users in Taiwan and Korea.
CPL is an input for production of nylon and the prices are rising faster than expected. But, the company said it has increased the price moderately by taking the overall supply chain system into consideration.
Ube Industries, however, added that the production and sales in the downstream are unable to keep pace with the fast turnaround being observed in CPL.
