DR-CAFTA source sought for certain MMF Ponte circular knit fabric

The National Textile Association has been approached by a manufacturer seeking sources for certain man-made fiber Ponte circular knit fabric specified below. NOTE that the fabrics will be used in a program in the Dominican Republic- Central America Free Trade Agreement ("DR-CAFTA") region, and requires fabrics knitted and finished in the DR-CAFTA region and of yarn made in the DR-CAFTA region. If you are interested in supplying these fabrics, or a like or similar fabric. contact David Trumbull at the National Textile Association at dtrumbull by August 31st and you will be put in contact with the company seeking the fabric.

Fabric: Polyester/rayon/spandex Ponte circular knit fabric

HTS subheading: 6006.32

Fiber content: 80-70% Polyester / 26-16% Rayon / 6-2% Spandex

Yarn number (two configurations)

Metric: Polyester:
Yarn 1: Polyester/Rayon 70-60%/40-30% 54.18-47.41 Blended Yarn
Yarn 2: Polyester 112.5-128.57/38-34 Filament + Spandex 200-257 Single Conventional Covering Yarn

English Polyester:
Yarn 1: Polyester/Rayon 70-60%/40-30% 32-28'S Blended Yarn
Yarn 2: Polyester 80-70Denier/38-34 Filament + Spandex 45-35 Denier Single Conventional Covering Yarn

Fabrice type: Double Knitting Ponte Fabric Gauge: 24

Weight: Metric: 295-215 grams per square meter; English: 8.7-7.81 ounce per square yard

Width: Metric: not less than 142.24 to 157.48 centimeters, cuttable; English: not less than 56 to 62 inches, cuttable

Finish: Piece-Dyed or Printed, or Yarn Dyed.
