Spot market of PTA imports was subdued. Cargo holders offered at US $1,250 / ton for Taiwan produced goods, downstream inquiries were around US $1,240/ ton and actually negotiated price was about US $1,245 price / ton.
Offers for South Korea's goods were US $1,230-1,235 / ton, downstream bids were around US $1,220/ ton, while, actually negotiated price was US $1,225-1230 / ton.
PTA market conditions in North China were plain on August 15, cargo holders offered about 9,750 Yuan / ton, downstream inquiries were around 9,650 Yuan / ton, actual negotiation was priced about 9,700 Yuan / ton, trading atmosphere looked flat, actual negotiation was limited.
PTA market conditions in East China remained subdued, cargo holders offered around 9,700-9,750 Yuan / ton, downstream bids were around 9,600-9,650 Yuan / ton, actually negotiated price ranged 9,650-9,700 Yuan / ton. Trading atmosphere was dull, actual discussion was limited.
