Reliant AIR qualifying fabric as an NFPA 70E Level 2 fabric
Aug '11
Innovative Textiles Inc. (ITI) has announced its latest patent pending fabric – Reliant AIR. ITI is a leading manufacturer of FR and arc resistant fabrics serving the electrical, fire, petrochemical, and safety apparel marketplace.

ReliantTM AIR is a unique flame resistant fabric, engineered for maximum comfort and uncompromised arc protection. Reliant AIR meets the FR and physical fabric requirements of ASTM 1506, and has been tested to ASTM F-1959, receiving an exceptional arc rating of 16+, qualifying the fabric as an NFPA 70E Level 2 fabric.

Its airlight 7.25 oz fabric construction provides insulating properties to keep you comfortable during extreme temperature changes - so you feel cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Michael Byles of ITI commented, “Reliant AIR offers the best of both worlds with this unique fabric construction. You have inherent FR protection and a unique airlight constructed fabric for unparalleled comfort.”
Like all Reliant products, AIR is engineered for exceptional comfort while exceeding critical performance requirements for flame resistant garments. Reliant's Inherent FR properties offer no melt, no drip performance making it a popular choice in every PPE market they serve.

John Wasylyk of ITI added, “Reliant Air is another example of the continued evolution of our line of Inherent FR knitted fabrics that offers manufacturers and end users alike exceptional performance and value that today's FR markets demand.”

Innovative Textiles Inc. is a leader in flame and arc resistant fabrics serving leading manufacturers of protective apparel who service markets such as NFPA Firefighter Station Wear, Electrical Utility, Petro-Chemical and General Industrial. Our internal experience using Modacrylic blended yarns to produce inherently FR fabrics is the most extensive in the FR industry. ITI's principal brands include ReliantTM and EMCTM.
